Galvanised sheets
Steel with a hot-dip zinc coating that protects it against corrosion without additional paint. Suitable for outdoor use and damp environments.

What galvanised sheets are
Galvanised sheet is steel that has passed through a bath of molten zinc. This creates a continuous metallic coating on the surface, protecting the steel against corrosion without additional paint.
The protection works in two ways. Zinc forms a physical barrier between the steel and moisture, and also corrodes preferentially to the steel, so even scratched sheets remain protected around the damaged area.
Zinc coating thickness
The designations Z100, Z200 and Z275 indicate the quantity of zinc per square metre (total for both sides). A higher number means a thicker coating and a longer service life in demanding environments.
- Z100 For indoor use and environments without persistent moisture.
- Z200 General outdoor use.
- Z275 More demanding outdoor applications and environments with higher humidity.
Grades we supply
The range from DX51D+Z to DX53D+Z differs in formability. DX51D is the basic grade for simple bending; DX52D and DX53D withstand more demanding forming without damaging the zinc coating.
Material in this category is generally supplied to EN 10346, which covers hot-dip metal-coated steel flat products. We include a mill test certificate with every delivery.
Dimensions we supply
We do not cut to length or shear galvanised sheets: cutting would disrupt the zinc coating at the cut edge. We supply them in the dimensions received from the steel mill.
We check available thicknesses and formats against the current supply range, so please include your required dimensions in your enquiry.
Where galvanised sheets are used
They are used wherever material is exposed to moisture and paint protection is impractical:
- gutters and sheet metal roofing components,
- outdoor covers, cabinets and switchgear enclosures,
- sections for plasterboard and drylining systems,
- ventilation systems and ductwork,
- fencing and garden equipment.
What we need for a quotation
Send us the grade, thickness, sheet dimensions and quantity in pieces or tonnes. Also specify the required zinc coating thickness: Z100, Z200 or Z275.
If you are unsure which to choose, tell us what you make from the sheet and how you will process it further. We will recommend material that suits both your production and your budget.
Transport and packaging
We prepare material for road or rail transport: our site has its own siding and lorry access. We deliver across Slovakia and to neighbouring countries.
On request, we wrap sheets in anti-corrosion VCI film, which protects the material during storage and transport without oil or wax.
