We cut finished steel sheets to the dimensions you need, including non-standard formats. You receive material ready for further processing, saving you the need to cut it in your own production facility.
What cutting sheets to size means
This service uses straight shear cuts to divide finished sheets into smaller square or rectangular formats. Unlike cut-to-length of coils, it starts with a sheet rather than a coil.
Choose dimensions to suit your production needs. You do not have to work around standard stock formats or resize large sheets at your own facility.
When cutting to size is worthwhile
Cutting to size is suitable when you need simple, straight-sided formats and want to free your own machines from preparatory cutting. You receive material in dimensions ready to go straight into further production.
Choosing the right format can reduce offcuts during further processing. Smaller sheets are also easier to store and handle.
How cutting works
We feed the sheet into the shearing machine, set the required dimension and make a straight cut. For larger orders, we check dimensions throughout production to keep every piece within the agreed tolerance.
The sheared edge is straight and suitable for standard further processing. If you have specific requirements for edge appearance or burr size, include them in your enquiry.
Which sheets and dimensions we cut
We process steel sheets from 2 to 15 mm thick, up to 2,000 mm wide and up to 12,000 mm long.
When cutting to the required length, we maintain a maximum deviation of ±2 mm. If you need a maximum length deviation of ±1 mm and the material is available in coil form, cut-to-length of coils may be more suitable.
We cut hot-rolled, cold-rolled and pickled sheets. We most commonly process these grades:
The thickness range does not automatically apply to every grade. For high-strength steels, cutting options depend on the precise combination of material grade, thickness and width. Always specify the exact grade in your enquiry.
Additional services for cutting to size
On request, we can further finish and protect the sheets after cutting and prepare them for transport.
- Surface brushing Rotary brushes remove mill scale, oxidation and dust from the surface, preparing the sheet for cutting, welding or painting.
- VCI film wrapping Protective film helps protect the material against corrosion during storage and transport, without oil or wax.
- Transport We prepare material for road or rail transport. We deliver across Slovakia and to neighbouring countries.
